TREAT YOURSELF DAILY
The Peat Bogs of Ireland are an inherent part of the country’s landscape and they hold a special place in the hearts of the Irish people. Those landscapes mirror their feelings and moods and have a major foothold in their psyche. The natural beauty of the uninhabited and untamed wetland evokes a sense of wilderness as depicted by Irish poet Séamus Heaney (1939 – 2013) in his works.

PEAT
It takes thousands of years for boglands to develop the deposits of peat. Peat is an organic soil formed from decomposed wetland vegetation and plant matter; principally Sphagnum moss, sedges, and shrubs. Because of mild astringent and anti-inflammatory activity, peat is useful in the topical care of inflammatory skin conditions such as dermatitis, psoriasis and eczema. Rich in antioxidants (the main one is Trolox, the water-soluble equivalent of vitamin E) and minerals such as magnesium, zinc, copper, iron and selenium, peat addresses all the signs of ageing, including wrinkles, dullness, loss of elasticity and firmness. It has the ability not only to slow down the ageing process but also to reverse it. The rejuvenating benefits can be attributed to the increase in blood flow to the skin and the accelerated process of cell regeneration both caused by the astringency of the peat.
WILD THYME
Wild Thyme has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal properties that make it a powerful herb for skin health. Thymol, a key constituent in Wild Thyme, can effectively reduce skin inflammation and infection. Together with Carvacrol, it can destroy harmful bacteria, treat wounds, cuts and ulcers, as well as tackle more serious cases of skin problems like eczema or fungal infections. It has been documented in several studies that thyme is effective at targeting blackheads, and pimples and facilitating the healing of acne blemishes.
RHASSOUL CLAY
Rhassoul clay is a brown clay only found in the Atlas mountains of Morocco. The term “rhassoul” comes from an Arabic word that means “to wash.” Rhassoul has been used as a cosmetic ingredient by many different cultures for over a thousand years. It is rich in magnesium, and potassium and has a high content of silica. Rhassoul clay is so loved because it is excellent for oily or Acne-prone skin and a wonderful skin treatment for dry and ageing skin. It fights Acne by drawing out impurities which means you will see a reduction in blackheads and pimples. The mineral composition of Rhassoul clay also helps to improve skin texture and reduce dryness, leaving it hydrated, soft and smooth.
